Chhatarpur: Jitendra Chaurasia, resident of Garhi Malhara in Chhatarpur district, has been frying samosas and potatoes on his earthen stove for the last 5 years. His shop is small, but the taste of his samosas is so amazing that after eating two samosas, people ask for more. Jeetendra started his shop from a cart and even today he sells samosas from the same cart. Their specialty is that samosas are fried in a wood-fired clay oven, which further enhances their taste.
The unique secret of the taste of samosas:
Jitendra Chaurasia told Local 18 that the recipe of his samosas may be simple, but what makes them different from everyone else are their spices. He adds 9 types of spices in samosas, due to which their taste is completely different from others. Jeetendra says, “I can’t tell my complete recipe because it is a question of my livelihood, but I believe that frying samosas on a wood stove enhances their taste even more.”
Great taste at affordable price:
At Jeetendra’s shop, you can get two samosas for Rs 10, and one who eats his samosas once, does not eat less than two. His shop remains open every day from 1 pm to 7 pm, and during this time around 200 customers come here to taste the samosas. People say that the taste of samosas fried on earthen stove is much better than the samosas of any normal shop.
Monthly earnings:
Jeetendra says that even though his shop is small, the demand for his samosas is very high. Around 200 samosas are sold every day, from which they earn around Rs 20 thousand in a month. Due to low costs, he gets good profits, and he manages his entire shop single-handedly.
